Walk into each household of Matsu by means of sceneries familiar to the locals
The Matsu Biennial, in a span of 10 years, presents not merely an art event, but a cultural movement. We launched the “One Poster Per Household Project,” delivering the key visuals featuring sceneries of the islands to 3,800 households on Matsu, so that residents of Matsu could be part of it. In an interdisciplinary partnership with 8 brands, it has become a cultural movement that cumulates islandic energy and uncover lifestyle features, drawing domestic tourists to the islands. The Matsu Biennial even went on the international stage, covered by international media like CNN and AFP, for the world to see the stories of the islands.
