2022 Meet Taipei: Design “A Detour in Taipei

繞個路，看見臺北街角的迷人風景

邁向10週年的「臺北街角遇見設計」計畫，有別於大型公共藝術計畫的宏大，從觀察城市的紋理出發，藉由「設計」切入，細膩的幫臺北創造更多溫度與視角。

我們以「臺北繞個路」為策展概念，邀請大家拋開科技時代的效率思維，關掉手機導航，與三五好友一起繞進未曾走過的日常巷弄。首波展演以「在士林遇見東南西北」為題，以12件微改造，帶領大家深入士林慈諴宮及夜市周邊充滿日常感的場域。第二波策劃則以「你、我和街角的三角戀愛」為主軸，從信義中興公園出發，邀請5組創作團隊拆解「愛」的元素，創作出7件微改造作品，讓大家感受生活在此的情意。本次作品涵蓋平面視覺、裝置、音樂、劇場、花卉、燈光等多元媒材，透過藝術創作和生活交融的街區場域，挖掘蘊藏其中的城市活力。

Take a detour to see the charming corners in Taipei

Marking its 10th anniversary, “Meet Taipei: Design” is distinct from the grandeur seen in the other/ major public art projects. Departing from the observation of urban textures, it probes from “design,” delicately creating more warmth and perspectives for Taipei.

With “A Detour in Taipei” as the curatorial statement, we invited everyone to drop the efficiency thinking in the Age of Technology, shut down their mobile navigation, and take a detour with friends into the everyday alleys and lanes they’ve never visited before. The first wave of exhibitions kicked off with the topic “Encounters in All Directions in Shilin.” With 12 micro transformations, it guides people to dive into the everyday scenes around the Cixian Temple and the night market in Shilin. The second wave was curated with the axis of “Love Triangle of You, Me, and Corner.” It started with the Zhongxing Park in Xinyi, inviting 5 creative teams to deconstruct the elements of “love.” They produced 7 works of micro transformation for people to appreciate the love in life around here. The works this year encompassed mediums like graphic, installation, music, theatre, flora, lighting, etc. Through the community scenes where art creation and life mingled, we uncovered the urban vitality rich within.
